Why Counselling?

Confidentiality...

Counselling is a confidential way of dealing with something that has become unmanageable, frightening or painful.

Safety...

Counselling can be an enormous relief when it seems impossible to talk to any of your family, friends or colleagues.  It is a completely safe way to explore options with a person who is trained to help you find ways of coping, most importantly without you experiencing any feeling of being judged.

Counselling can be a confidential refuge if you are suffering from physical or mental abuse.

Support...

Counselling can be supportive at specific moments in life: when relationships are going wrong; during life transitions such as divorce, having a new baby in the family or retirement; when you are made redundant; or when loss or bereavement happens. It can help if you suffer from an eating disorder or if you or a member of your family receives a diagnosis of serious or life threatening illness.

Tools and Coping...

Counselling can help you find tools and coping strategies if you suffer from stress, anxiety, panic attacks or depression.

Making Sense...

Counselling can help make more sense out of confusing thoughts and feelings and help you understand how to live your life in a more contented and fulfilled way.
